Nigerian star Harryson Tare Okiri aka Harrysong or Mr. Songz, a multiple hit maker, a versatile musician, songwriter, instrumentalists, Vocal Coach and Music Director is already in Kampala for some fresh projects.
According to our sources who spotted Harrysong at Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort, the “Reggae Blues” singer is here to shoot some new music videos with our own music director Sasha Vybz and also to do a media tour for his new project called “My Journey.”
Dubbed, king of contemporary African sound and master of timeless music, Harrysong was born in warri, Delta State to Ijaw parents; moved to Lagos in 2007 after spending part of his early life in Port Harcourt Rivers State.
Known for his creativity in music, Harrysong has several hits to his credit, among which was his tribute song to late Nelson Mandela; it was a chart toper and won the ‘Most downloaded caller tune Award’ at The Headies Awards in 2013.
His romance with music dates back several years ago when at age ten he became the lead drummer in Church of God Mission, Warri Delta State.
He became popular for his creativity with the drum and other musical instruments that he was eventually promoted to the position of Choir Master in the church as a teenager.
His love for music and ministration also saw him attending Pastor School and afterwards, he became the Music Director General, Church of God Mission Nigeria, a position he held until he left to pursue his career in secular music.
Bringing his experience and creativity to bare, Harrysong has continued to wax stronger in his music career
