Police in Gulu have in custody a popular musician on charges of robbery and assault.
Eddy Wizzy real names Edward Olak Okuni was arrested by police on Sunday from his hideout in Gulu Municipality.
The 24-year-old musician known for his 2018 hit song Anga Obed Mujony was arrested over a February 1 incident in which he reportedly beat up a cab driver before driving off with his vehicle.
The musician came to the scene with his 2018 hit song “Anga Obed Mujony”.
Singing under More Fire Entertainment Record label, his other songs include; Weng Nono, Am sorry, Mot mot and Mar Ni, to mention but a few.
Wizzy twice won the Northern Uganda Music Award [NUMA] artiste of the Year [2017 and 2018].
He was picked on Sunday from his hideout in Gulu Municipality for beating up a cab driver Walter Lacen and stealing his car.
Lacen had driven Wizzy and his crew for music tours in Omoro and Kiryandongo districts in his Noah car boot registration number UAP 833R.
Wizzy stole the car and drove it to Tegwana Parish in Pece Division, Gulu Municipality.
He is currently detained at Gulu Central Police Station.
