Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, better known by his stage name Patoranking, is a Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter.
The ‘Suh different’ hit maker is set to grace Kampala in October 2019 with a live performance of his album, Wilmer.
Patoranking released his second album on 24th May, 2019 by Amari music. The album is named after his daughter and has 12 tracks featuring collabos with Nyashinski, Donae’O, Busiswa, Davido and so many other artists.
His concert was announced by the singer’s management team led by Maduforo Chidinma Didi during a press briefing held in Kampala last week.
“We can confirm from Ubuntu Connect & Evoke, Patoranking’s official representatives in Uganda, that the Nigerian dancehall artiste plans to perform live in Kampala in October 2019,” Didi said.
Didi said Patoranking will be in the country to promote his recently released album, Wilmer, named after his daughter. Thee award-winning Patoranking’s Wilmer is a 12-track beauty that features collabos from Nyashinski, Donae’O, Busiswa, Davido and many other multi-talented acts.
Patoranking was set to come to Uganda in December last year but he could not come due to so many mishaps by the management in Uganda.
The Patoranking management led by Maduforo Chidinma Didi mentioned that Patoranking has love for Kampala and will be happy to share his new album with his fans in Kampala.
Timothy Bukenya the curator of Evoke said that he is happy that Evoke gets to partner with Patoranking. Evoke is about redefining lifestyle for the young people, something that Patoranking perfectly fits in and definitely something pulsers will enjoy.
The management continued to say that the album could not stop at being an album dropped on social media. Uganda is big on dance hall so it is a perfect place for Patoranking to share his latest album with his fans in person. They also hope to open up business opportunities with not only artists but many other brands in Uganda to work with Patoranking.
