Bukedea Town Council Football Club have appointed Peter Onen as club head coach until the end of the season.
Onen comes in to replace Anthony Ssekitto who left the club after a poor run of results.
He has been appointed together with his goalkeeping coach Abu Kigenyi.
According to him, he says that he had completely forgotten about football for the rest of the season but when the management contacted him for his services, he had to give it a shot.
“I had already forgotten about football completely but when I was contacted, I took time to accept but I had to finally accept and am here for a mission and that mission must be achieved,” he said.
With only 5 games remaining, Onen is focused on the promotion mission saying that there is no hope lost since the table is already jeopardized.
‘The Makers and Shakers’ are in the 4th place with 14 points, 8 behind table leaders MYDA.
He tasked the team to work with him to see this mission come to pass.
He has previously worked with Layibi College, Gulu United, BUL FC and notably guiding the U-17 National Team to a AFCON qualification after winnig to the maiden CECAFA U-17 Zonal Tourney in Tanzania.
