What inspired you to do this?
It was a dream I had which I wanted to fulfill since childhood and I had done all sorts of jobs like manicure until when I obtained capital to start this.
What is that special thing about this Salon that others do not have?
Face steam and half massage is given free of charge as long as you are a client, which is a bonus.
We also polish our client’s shoes.
What have you achieved from this business?
It has made me travel to so many different cities for example Kigali and Nairobi because clients even call me from those places.I have also made so many connections and got so many friends.
It has also helped me to get loans from banks.
What challenges have you faced along the way?
Employees are not stable.
Rent charges are high and the Yaka bills are also high
What message do you have to anyone who would want to start such a business?
You need to be flexible, patient, passionate and have good care for the clients.
