Everton Captain Wayne Rooney has spoken about the goal that stunned the entire premier league on Wednesday. In their 4-0 thrashing of West Ham, Rooney scored a Hat-Trick.
His goal shot from his own half of the pitch was unbelievable and made league pundits wonder whether his best has yet been achieved.
“I don’t think I’ve ever hit a ball better in my life.It might be one of the best goals I’ve scored, I don’t know, but just as important was the clean sheet. I’m glad we put in a defensive performance as well, because its what David Unsworth deserved. He stepped in at a difficult time for the club, he’s an Everton man through and through and I’m delighted for him,” Rooney said.
David Unsworth has been acting as manager as the team prepares to receive Sam Allardyce.
Rooney scored the goal in the 66th minute.
The 59-yard strike has brought more rewards to the club that just a win.
Everton have been awarded the LG Performance of the Week Award for their display in the match.
