Singer Gravity Omutujju, real names Gilson Wabuyu was shot by a private security guard at LK filling station in Bukunya Town Council on Wednesday night.
It is said that Gravity parked his car at the fuel station as he sought directions on phone on his way to Rwebituti village in Kasanda where he was headed for a concert on Wednesday night.
According to the information we received, it is reported that the rapper had a heated argument with the security guard who was reportedly asking him to vacate the place and in the long run, the guard allegedly ‘shot’ at him two times, one bullet in his belly and another on his left ribs.
Photos of who is said to be Gravity making rounds on social media (Facebook in particular), show an injured person with plastered ‘bullet wounds’ lying in a car.
Shortly after the shooting , one of Gravity’s Facebook page admins posted to let his family, friends and fans about the ordeal.
“GRAVITY OMUTUJJU HAS BEEN SHOT BY AN UNKNOWN GUN MAN.YOUR PRAYERS ARE NEEDED. Mgt.” Read the statement on Gravity’s Facebook page.
Before being rushed to a private clinic, Gravity reported a case of attempted murder at Bukuya Police Station-SD Ref 19/20/02/2019. He was later examined by a police surgeon.
The security officer was arrested and is currently in Police custody at Bukuya Police Station
