Radio Legend Peter Sematimba, who is also Member of Parliament of Busiro South has buried his long standing beef with CBS radio, by appearing at their 22nd Anniversary. The anniversary celebrations were held last Friday and attracted most of the people who made the station become the biggest radio station in Central Uganda.

To mark the date, CBS shifted its offices and studios from the main building in Bulange Mengo to Masengere building.

Throughout the event, the presenters like Martin Oscar Kintu and Patricko Mujjuka, who relayed it on air kept referring to Sematimba’s presence.

“We can see Honorable Peter Sematimba, smartly dressed. This time he is surely around,” Kintu and Patricko said in one of their many talk breaks.

At the height of their beef, Peter Sematimba moved on to set up Super FM. He previously shunned functions at Bulange, fearing a backlash from die hard supporters of the Buganda Kingdom.

As an MP, Sematimba does not only needs CBS to retain his seat, he needs to be closely associated with the affairs of the kingdom because many of his supporters are from Buganda.

CBS radio has a history of sending its current or former employees to parliament, the latest being Honorable Kato Lubwama of Rubaga South.
