On Friday last week, musician Ibrahim Mayanja commonly known as Big Eye was yet again pelted with bottles during Spice Diana’s concert at Freedom City. It was reported that the singer fainted and was rushed to hospital for treatment.
His music label management, Big Musik Entertainment has announced that the singer will not be performing at any event which has not been organized by the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).
His social media administrator posted on Big Eye’s Facebook page: “You can break my legs, you can break my arms or any physical part of my body but my heart still remains on HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni president of Uganda 2021 #AliSteady.”
“I remember before Moses Radio (RIP) died, some people used to say he was doing a stunt for their new video until when he died and they realised his situation was serious. Let us stop taking some situations comic.”
He said that kind of selfishness and bad mind is not good.
“Today is me but tomorrow will be you. This is my only job. Whoever thinks am doing stunts I have handed over you to God he will judge us.”
Big Eye’s woes originate from his public support for NRM and President Museveni. Several other artistes who publicly support the NRM like Catherine Kusasira, Bebe Cool and Full Figure have been pelted with bottles in the recent past as well.
