Smart Clothing is a professional tailoring design house specializing in well done quality garments for their clientele. Located at the hill at Quality Supermarket Lubowa,Smart Clothing has built a pedigree of exceptionally high quality tailored designed garments.
In our visit to their design house, we held an interview with the management who explained about their good work.
Monday Times: What does Smart Clothing do as business?
Management of Smart Clothing: We do Bespoke clothing mainly dealing in custom gents and ladies suits,with Custom we tailor from scratch for the client a difference from the already made wear.
Monday Times: What kind of fabric do u use?
Management of Smart Clothing: We tailor with strictly vitale canonical fabric (Italian fabric) that’s strictly wool, varrying in grades which include – super 110,130 to,180;s. With this fabric, we are guaranteed with the best quality garment. Our quality suits are not only delived from the quality fabric but also from the cutting , stitching and trimming techniques of our experienced personnels.
Monday Times How different are you from others who do this kind of business?
Management of Smart Clothing: Our difference is cut from the fabric,measurement s we take from our clients ,blue print cutting of materials, how we stitch and how we fit our Clients not forgetting the time factor of our delivery.
Monday Times: Where are you located?
Management of Smart Clothing: Our first Bespoke shop opened in 1979 at the Uganda House building .We are shop No.4 (LADY SHIRLEY) Limited. The company is headed by MR Sulaiman Matovu. We of recent opened an outlet at Quality Mall Lubowa shop No.5 (SMART CLOTHING Ltd).
Monday Times: How do u manage to coordinate all these branches?
Management of Smart Clothing: We have a company structure initially designed by the founder Mr sulaiman Matovu to enable the entity go through different generations. Here he has groomed Bespoke tailors that is Matovu Bakri and Andrew Matano who can efficiently run the daily proceeding of the business mainly at Smart Clothing Ltd at Quality Mall Lubowa.
Monday Times: What should one expect as customers when they come to you?
Management of Smart Clothing: We extend a variety of services to our clients .To maintain quality production, we share Ideas as well as advice our clients on what suits them best for example one would need a double or single breast suit. Further more we do alteration where by if a client has a wrong sized cloth ,we do adjustments to a perfect fit.
Monday Times: Do you deliver outdoor?
Management of Smart Clothing: Yes,we extend door to door services to our clients right from the first stage of taking measurements to the last stage of delivering.

Management of Smart Clothing: Our prices are client friendly ranging from the grading of the fabric.
