Legendary music icon, Joseph Mayanja alias Jose Chameleone has warned music fans to stop comparing him with ‘small’ artists.
While performing at the Plaza building based in Club Amnesia on last night, the “Mateeka” hit maker unapologetically blasted people that have been comparing him to the likes of Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool, Eddy Kenzo or David Lutalo.
Chameleone claims that he has been on top of the game for over 20 years and comparing him to anyone in the music industry will only minimize him.
“I have been in the music industry for over 20 years now, whoever is comparing me to the likes of Bebe Cool, Bobi Wine or any artist lacks what to do because you can’t compare me to anyone in this industry, am a class apart,” he said; adding that other artists have been inconsistent unlike him who has been on top of the game for over 20 years now.
“I have been on top of the game for 20 years; it’s my hard work that has put me to where I am today. The rest of the artistes who begun with me have been on and off,” he added.
Chameleone is one of the pioneers of the music industry who has coped with the industry’s pressure and kept his bars so high for anyone to challenge.
