Celebrated radio and television host Isaac Katende also known as Kasuku or Kuku Wazabanga has been chest thumping since Nigeria lost their crucial match against Argentina yesterday. Hours before the match Kasuku had warned his followers not to bet in favor of Nigeria. In his view, the Nigerian was capable of taking a bribe to give away the match to Argentina.
As the match went on, Kasuku kept on reminding his fans not to dare put money on Super Eagles.
To his advantage, Super Eagles lost 2-1.

Analysts who watched the match think Nigeria played well but officiation was wanting. There was no deliberate evidence that Nigeria was playing with laxity that would give away the match.
Match fixing is rife in Africa. A recent BBC documentary showed just how easily matches are swayed to different outcomes after money has changed hands.
The Super Eagles-Argentina match was also a moment for Lionel Messi to salvage his name. Since the tournament began, Messi looked like a shadow of his old self. With one goal scored, he has the opportunity to make amends with his fans, country and soul during the remaining matches that Argentina will play.
