It is public knowledge that since Moze Radio died, Weasel (Douglas Mayanja) has struggled to stand on his feet. Recently, he joined Brian White foundation, and was beginning to get over the sudden death of his long term singing companion, when public pressure forced the foundation to send away artistes.
We have since learnt that Weasel has not been at rest. His close friends and colleagues have been pleading with King Saha, whose career is equally going down, to team up as a duo. They would then be called King Saha and Weasel.
“The best person to join hands with Weasel is King Saha. In fact they were together in Leone Island and he was a friend to both Weasel and the late AK 47. I am sure that they will click” Sadat a friend conversant with the deal told this newspaper.
Sources close to the deal say, when King Saha started out, everyone thought he sounded like Moze Radio. Indeed his manager Sam Mukasa kept telling his friends that he had discovered the next Moze Radio.
What is not clear is whether King Saha will be required to sing the songs that Weasel did with Moze Radio or they will start their duo afresh.
As unpredictable as the music industry can get, we await for further news to confirm if the deal will be closed.
