Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has blocked several pornographic sites on the instructions of the Anti-Pornography Committee of the Ministry of Ethics and Integrity. Many of the sites, were escort services in Uganda, where prostitution was being peddled without fear or favor.

The Anti Pornography Committee boss, Dr.Annet Kezaabu said that this was just a tip of the iceberg and many more sites shall be blocked over the next few weeks.
“As I speak, we have a team that is compiling a list of other porn sites that will be blocked. We anticipate that some people will open up new sites but this is a continuous process,” Dr Kezaabu told members of the press.
In a related development, the Anti-Pornography Committee has rolled out into bars looking for those that hold prostitutes or have nude shows. The move has caused panic especially in Rubaga Division of Kampala, where many of such bars do exist.
