The president of Uganda, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni finally met the BET award winner and praised him for being very resilient and hardworking.

“His story is one of resilience and hard work. Growing up as an orphan to a celebrated and inspirational artiste. I wish him and his team good luck,” the President, in power since 1986 said while meeting Kenzo to congratulate him on his latest award, the African Entertainer of The Year Award in USA.

The cry for help came following Kenzo’s feud with Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata regarding a video in which Kenzo claims to have been disrespected by Muzaata, the Sitya Loss star took to social media to air out his cries and grievances.

Kenzo expressed his discontent about how Ugandans have quickly forgotten how high he had raised the Ugandan flag.

Notable among what he said, Kenzo called onto the government in a statement that caught the attention of many, “Uganda Government, Where are you?” This prompted the hashtag weyayu which trended on social media.

The sheikh, who has since refused to apologise made the statement at a traditional marriage ceremony of the singer’s ex, Rema Namakula.

We have since understood that ‘Government of Uganda’ has been closely following Kenzo’s contributions to the country.

On Monday, October 28, the ‘System Volongoto’ singer met, and presented his latest award to President Museveni at a low key ceremony at State House, Entebbe.

“Thank you for your encouraging remarks. In response to my past post as I went to State House to meet the President. Indeed I want to confirm that it has come to pass and I have met the the President of Uganda,” he said.

Kenzo added that Museveni is willing to support his music.

“It was a warm and a fruitful discussion about my individual achievements but also most importantly about the huge potential and opportunities available in the arts industry which he pledged to give full government support. I’ll provide details of our interactions anytime soon in the course of this week,” Kenzo posted.
