Uganda has confirmed its first Coronavirus case.
The case, which was confirmed on the 21st March 2020, is the first one to be reported in Uganda since the beginning of the outbreak in China in December 2019.
The case is a 36-year-old male Ugandan citizen who traveled back to Uganda returning from Dubai on a business trip on the 20th March 2020. He was confirmed positive by the Uganda Virus Institute.
The patient is clinically stable, and is being isolated at Entebbe Grade B zone.
Jane Ruth Aceng, the Health Minster in a presser on Saturday night confirmed this development but urged the public to be calm as the experts continue to handle this case.
