Uganda Journalists Association president also NBS TV journalist who hosts former president Museveni press secretary Tamale Mirundi on One on One with Tamale Mirundi, Kazibwe Bashir Mbaziira has been hospitalised, according the journalists’ governing body.
In a statement, Ronald Kabuye, UJA secretary for information and publicity, said Mbaziira was rushed to International Hospital in Kampala on Sunday June 2nd around 3pm.
“He was shortly admitted after complaints of stomach ache, headache and fever at IHK.”
According to reports, he was discharged at around 10pm. However upon reaching home, the condition deteriorated and he was re-admitted at IHK.
Kabuye said the doctors advised Mbaziira to stay off the phone in order to get enough rest.
Journalists working with Kazibwe are scared he could be suffering from something far worse than malaria or stomach pains and many fear he could have been poisoned.
Mbaziira hosts presidential advisor on media matters Tamale Mirundi on “One on One with Tamale Mirundi” programme.
Kazibwe, is also working with Vision Group, under Bukedde Fama 100.5 ‘Embuutizi’ a local radio station where he is the presenter of the popular investigative programme locally known as ‘Ekiryatabaala’.
He recently declared interest to contest for Member of Parliament in Kawempe South held by FDC’s Mubrak Muyangwa.
