Vipers Sports Club remained unbeaten in the Ugandan Premier League after edging out newly promoted side Kyetume 2-1 in a match played on Tuesday.
Goals from Fahad Bayo and former Gor Mahia striker Dan Sserunkuma ensured the Venoms have now gone 10 matches unbeaten. Bayo scored the opener after heading home in the sixth minute before Sserunkuma scored from the penalty spot.
Kyetume grabbed a consolation goal courtesy of striker Robert Ssentongo but Vipers held on to register another win on the road.
Elsewhere, Express woes continued as they went down 2-1 to Busoga United at Wankulukuku stadium. The defeat leaves coach George Ssimwogerere under a lot of pressure as his side has now gone for two consecutive games without a win.
Joel Madondo and Boban Zirintusa each had a goal for the visitors, while Frank Kalanda was on target for Express
At Lugogo, Pius Kaggwa and Ben Ocen were on target as Police came from a goal down to defeat Wakiso Giants 2-1. Viane Ssekajugo had earlier opened a lead for Wakiso.
In Buikwe, BUL played to 1-1 draw with Bright Stars at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
