Police are investigating circumstances under which a woman died today in a shrine in Matugga, in Wakiso district.
The Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigire has identified the deceased as 36-year-old Noeline Nansamba. She died in a shrine belonging to Shaban Kayiza, a witchdoctor in Matugga.
Owoyesigyire said the body of the deceased has been conveyed to city mortuary Mulago for postmortem.
According to Kayiza the deceased was brought to him by her relatives for treatment in a critical condition and later passed on.
Luswata, however, claims the details of the people, who dropped her off, for treatment were not captured. He insists the deceased was brought in a critical condition.
Meanwhile, three people have been arrested to help in investigation. They are; Kayiza, Luswata and a one Siraj.
“Investigations into the matter have been instituted and a charge of murder is being investigated,” Owoyesigyire said.
