Vision Group’s XFM is in the process of dropping most of its radio presenters, this newspaper can reliably reveal. Sources at Vision Group intimated that the restructuring is meant to keep the station in business, and to ensure that a few presenters serves the station’s audience.

“Only Denzel and one or two others will remain” the top manager who declined to be named because he is not authorized to speak to the press said.

Operating an Urban radio format, XFM was originally called Vision Voice. After rebranding it brought on board other presenters like DJ BK, Siima, KK, Denzel and Rudende. In spite of several changes, it did not grow beyond where it was, because of the saturated radio market in Kampala.

At one point Vision Group toyed with the idea of turning it into an online radio station while at the same time handing over its frequency to be used by Arua One, their station in West Nile.
