Ugandan artistes have never ceased to be opportunistic. Every situation be it financial or political will see a Ugandan sing lines about it, making them millions on the streets.
No surprise, Ziza Bafana has followed Bobi Wine’s foot steps in critisizing the political perpetuators in Uganda for ‘deteriorating’ the country’s standards and ‘excessive corruption’.
‘Batutunze’ is directed to the “greedy” legislators which means ” they have sold us”.
This comes after a section of NRM and Independent legislators made news by declaring their intentions to scrap off article 102(b) of the constitution.
In the song, Bafana prays that God should save Uganda from ‘vultures and greedy leaders’. No efforts have been made by government to ban the song but Bafana’s fans say the government is so mean that they will come out to ban it.
“Abo tubamanyi. They will come out and say the song incites violence among Ugandans and they ban it,” one of Bafana’s fans commented.
“Batutunze” was produced by one Rickson productions.
